Sometimes, paintings flow like the Truckee river in the spring. Other times, they meander and wander and even dry up until the rains arrive once again. These three have dawdled since Fall and only now are they nearing completion. I've had enough time under the brush to trust this process and know that as long as I keep painting, beauty will emerge somehow, some way.

It's so hard to get a sense of scale when viewing images on the web. This painting is 72"Hx42"W. It's so liberating to paint something this size. I used huge brushes and even a putty knife. People are responding to this piece. I'd like to think my positive energy has transcended the canvas.
